Since all of our golf clubs come to us used, not all will be in the same condition. Some may still have scratches or marks on them from previous use, but all clubs are thoroughly cleaned and repaired to the best of our ability. We came up with the Quality Club Rating guide, or QCR, to help you get a better idea of the condition of the golf club you are interested in. At then end of the description of every golf club you will see "QCR" and then a number between 1-5. The chart below is what that number represents in terms of quality. We price our golf clubs based on the size, brand, and how they are rated on our QCR guide.
Our company policy is to never sell a golf club that we wouldn’t use ourselves. We try to only sell clubs that meet a minimum QCR of 3 or higher. We tend to be strict with our QCR ratings, one small blemish may take a rating from a 5 to a 4. All clubs will be accurately rated and will never be overpriced. We strive to garner a loyal customer base that enjoys shopping with us here at Secondhand Birdies. If you feel that you were sent a golf club or other product that was rated or described inaccurately, please email us. Mistakes happen, but we promise to make it right.

Has been lightly used. Minimal to no scuffs or markings, grip might have slight wear, if any. No damage to any part of the club. Our best quality rating.
Has been used, may have slight visible scuffs and/or grip may have wear marks, but overall still in great shape.
Used and has visible scuffs and wear marks on the grip. Probable visible missing paint markings. The club can still be used, just might not look as pretty. The lowest rated club we sell on this site, unless specified.
Has seen better days. Noticeable paint missing and scuffs, grip is worn down. May be used to sell for parts.
